This Privacy Policy describes how ByeLag (published by OneLikeLabs — onelike99 on Google Play) collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. VPN Service

Our App uses the Android VPN Service API solely to provide its core functionality: optimizing your network connection for a smoother gaming experience. When you activate the App's optimization, a local VPN tunnel is created on your device to route and optimize your network traffic.

The VPN tunnel is processed locally on your device. We do NOT collect, read, log, or transmit the content of your internet traffic, including but not limited to visited websites, app data, messages, passwords, or personal communications. The App does not operate remote servers that receive or store your traffic.

The VPN permission is required only while the optimization feature is active. You can disconnect and revoke this permission at any time via the App or your device's Settings → VPN menu.

2. Information We Collect

Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., app opens, feature usage) via Firebase Analytics to improve the App.

Device Information: Non-personal device information such as device model, OS version, and app version may be collected for analytics and crash reporting.

Advertising ID: We may use the Android Advertising ID for ad personalization and frequency capping, in compliance with Google Play's Advertising ID policy.

Information You Provide: The App does not require account registration. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information (PII).

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (network optimization)
To analyze usage trends and improve the App
To serve advertisements through Google AdMob
To detect and prevent technical issues and crashes

4. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob: We use AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may collect data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Ads settings.

Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for analytics. Firebase may collect device information as described in Firebase's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage

Your app preferences (selected region, optimization settings) are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not transmit or store this data on any external server.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is rated for ages 3+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

Opt-out of Ads: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
Disable VPN: Settings → VPN → ByeLag → disconnect, or turn off the App's optimization
Delete Data: Uninstall the App or clear app data in Settings → Apps → ByeLag → Storage → Clear Data

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
